If what you do involves trying to influence anyone other than yourself, most likely you devote at least some of your attention to keeping track of what is -- and what is not --
cool. This can be a slippery slope, as the
BBC's h2g2 "Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy" points out in the spot where it's "inverse cool theory" appears online. While I feel that the site's definition of cool ("a concept that mixes fashion sense with popularity and attitude with appearance, and generally is not understood by anyone") is pretty well spot-on, I take exception with the site's postulate which states unequivocably that "trying to be cool is very uncool."

If that were true, then everything I regularly learn about from various "cool-hunting" websites would be lame, and that's just not the case. Take my word for it or not, I do recommend checking-out the following sites whenever you're looking for products, ideas and/or services that are new, and which many people will probably agree
do not suck.
